Making of our Christmas Tree

I've been wanting to do a Making of Our Christmas Tree layout for some time but usually I get so excited when it comes time to put up our Christmas Tree, that I forget to take pictures! Well this year I finally remembered! Go figure it's the year I decided to put the tree in front of the windows which made the pictures a little difficult to take but I am happy I did it none the less!

I printed all my photos in vertical format and then lined them up in order so that you could see the progression and then finished it off with the final picture in a one size large format. I find that really emphasizes the final photo.

I decided to edge the top and bottom of my photos with Bakers Twine, for some reason it just seemed to tie everything together perfectly! The ornament was made with naked chipboard and painted with crackle paint and then coated with glossy accents.  I know the photo doesn't show it very well but it really looks like a vintage glass ornament from my Grandmother's tree.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Basic Grey - Dasher Collection; Alphabet Stickers: Basic Grey Alphas and American Crafts Thickers; Embellishments: Riff Raff Ornament, Distress White Crackle Paint, Jewels, Bakers Twine, Ribbon, Jingle Bell, and Buttons; Inks: Colorbox Chalk Ink; Tools: EK Success Lace Edger Punch.

Love it! The ornament is beautiful and what a great idea to photograph the process :)

Beautiful LO! The twine does help bring it all together. And your ornament is lovely!
