Have you ever had an embellishment that is perfect for a layout but the color is slightly off or it looks too new for your vintage vibe? Boy do I have the solution for you.
I was looking for some numbers in order to put the year of my car on this layout. I didn't like the ones I had, the colors were a little too bright so I sanded them down a little bit and then rub some ink on them in more desirable colors. I love how they turned out, they look a little aged just like my car.
I also sanded the metal circle embellishments so that they didn't look so new and this brought out the silver background of the embellishment.I hope this helps you with your future layouts.
