Family Photos

A layout I did of a picture I took of Steve, his grandmother, his dad, and his 2 brothers. It had been several years since they had all been together for a photo. The 25 cents on the border was actually blue and I didn't like how it looked on the layout so I took my Distress Crack Paint in Peeled Paint by Tim Holtz and covered it up. Now it looks much better and the crackled paint goes great with the vintage feel of the border.

Hail

This layout is about a hail storm we had that destroyed my gardens. All of my flowers were just starting to come into full bloom (something we had yet to see since moving in and finishing our landscaping) when a big hail storm hit. The hail demolished all my flowers ... it really was so sad! I love the rose ribbon I used on this layout, it works perfectly!

Gabrielle Turns One

Here's a layout I did about my friend's daughter turning one. I really had fun with this layout using all kinds of Sassafras goodies. The row of flowers actually hides the fact that I took the background sheet of patterned paper and cut it in half and flip one side over to reveal the back side of the patterned paper (the stip side) and then taped them together. I got the look of two different styles of paper while only using one sheet.

Compulsive Shopper

My sister-in-law gave me the vellum quote a little while ago saying it was so me. I laughed at it thinking it was funny but even more so when I was reorganizing my paper stash and realized there are several sheets of patterend paper in my stash in which I one multiples of the same! I'm sure the rest of you can relate. I changed the color of my bling slightly by coloring it with copic markers ... I really like how it turned out!

I Ruff You

Every day a very happy little puppy greets me when I come home. It is always so nice to be greeted by someone so happy!

Go Fly a Kite

Steve decided to try to teach our niece how to fly a kite. It was so cute to watch and I need to capture this special moment in photos so I went a little crazy and ended up with tons on photos to choose from. Because I had so many photos, I decided to use this sketch by Allison Davis which I absolutely loved.

Outdoors

Who would of thought, corrugated cardboard paper! It's genius! It goes so perfectly with this layout and gives it more of a rugged look.  I also have been using a lot of cut out words on my layouts, it adds colour, design, and depth because I pop some of them up.

A Day of Sunshine

A layout about my cutie-patootie nephew and the wading pool we bought him. The paper and the pictures went together so well! I really wanted the sun to pop off the paper do I covered it with Glossy Accents. I really like how it turned out.

Here's a close up of the Gecko I cut out with my Cricut and then embossed with my Cuttlebug. Isn't he the cutest, especially those googly eyes!

Royal Tyrrell Museum

This is actually a 12 x 32 layout. The extra 8 inches are contained within the flap on left hand side. I use these things called Flip Flaps from Creative Memories which attach to my page protector to give me another 8 inches of layout space. Totally sweet for layouts with tons of photos.

Here's a look at what it looks like with the flap open:

This is actually a 12 x 30 layout. The extra 6 inches are contained within the flap on left hand side. I use these things called Flip Flaps from Creative Memories which attach to my page protector to give me another 6 inches of layout space. Totally sweet for layouts with tons of photos.

Favorite Guy

He really is my favorite guy! I love the photo in this layout, which was taken while we were site seeing this summer in Drumheller. This layout actually has some hidden journalling under the photo. The photo flips up and you can see what I wrote ... neat idea eh?! It's great for writing down things that you don't necessarily want everyone to see but that you still want to document.

3-13

That's the name of the game, literally. This layout is simply some pictures of Steve's family playing a competitive game of 3-13, something that is always guaranteed to happen whenever the family gets together.

Kinbrook Island Camping

When I first saw this paper line, I was so excited! Since we'd gotten out trailer, we have done a lot of camping and I was always on the look out for some cool new scrapbook paper. I think I bought everything available in collection and I'm sure you will see several layouts in it!

Sunset Views

I love how this layout turned it! I used Basic Grey's Granola line and I think it compliments the photos beauifully! The photos were from a camping trip we took this past summer to Lake Newell.

Two Peas in a Pod

A pretty basic layout about my brother and I and about how we like to bug each other. It's all in good fun though!

Ring Toss

Here's a layout about on of our favorite camping activities - Ring Toss. I'm not sure why it is, no one is really all that good at it! I guess it's a good way to pass the time with friends.
